Struan Stevenson has also been re-elected as the European Democrat Vice-President of the EPP-ED Group.
Timothy Kirkhope MEP, leader of the Conservatives in the European Parliament said: "The Conservative European team which will lead us into the 2009 European elections is not only the largest group of British MEPs but the most effective.
